Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma

Khadga Bahadur Bishwakarma ((ネパール語:खड्ग बहादुर बिश्वकर्मा)) alias Prakanda (प्रकाण्ड), born 17 May 1968, is a Nepalese communist politician, belonging to the Communist Party of Nepal Maoist.He is spokesperson of Communist Party of Nepal Maoist.
In the 2008 Constituent Assembly election he was elected from the Kalikot-1 constituency, winning 27629 votes.〔(Election Commission of Nepal )〕 He was subsequently appointed as Minister of Tourism and civil aviation in the Cabinet headed by Jhalanath Khanal. Before that in 2007 he was appointed as Minister of women, children and social welfare in the cabinet headed by Giriga Prasad Koirala. Bishwakarma was born in Malkot-04 VDC of Kalikot district. He was born in a low-middle class peasant family.He played vital role in 10-year-long guerrilla war (Peoples war) against the government led by Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist).
